Dell the Dolphin

A project to impact the dolphin world

Which is the real dolphin?

Dolphins

All the dolphins you have just seen are real, and in captivity, with no reason to be so except for human entertainment.

Impacts

All these dolphins were raised from an infant age to perform in these shows, now you might think this

is fine, but the dolphins are simply trapped in an

enclosed space practicly a painted cage.

Dell, and other robotic dolphins made by Rodger Holzberg and his team, can make an end to dolphins and whales in captivity.

Dell is already being used to entertain children as a sort of camp, as to raise money for further making of these robots. Though there are no other Robotic dolphins in shows yet, over thirty aquarium parks are taking interest as the investment in these robots take less maintenance then actual dolphins.

Dell the dolphin is made out of a complex mass of wires and mechanics inside, with many joints lining the spinal cord, the main joint being the waist joint. The skin is made with medical grade silicone to create the closest they could to the texcture of a dolphin while still protecting the internal mechanics.

Mechanics

At this point in time Dell is connected to a string that implements instructions from a controller, but in due time when AI advances they plan to add AI so it will move solely on it's own.

Dell, who was the first dolphin, costed 27 million to make and develoup the technologies and getting the colors just right, but it is estimated now to cost 3-5 million.

Thank you, and have a nice day!

I've enjoyed reasearching Dell and her team, I hope to stay tuned with this project, and wish luck to the dolphins, thank you.
