Cebu is known for its rich history and vibrant culture. It is the birthplace of Christianity in the Philippines, with the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño, the oldest Roman Catholic Church in the country, located here.

Cebu is also famous for its intricate handcrafted guitars made by skilled luthiers.

Most Cebuano subsist through farming or fishing. And other jobs included in the field of tourism.

Cebu is known for such native delicacies like Dried Mangoes, Rosquillos, Peanut Browas, Otap, Danggit, Chicharon (and Lechon), and Masareal. Also with other products like Guitars.

Martino Abellana, The Dean of Cebuano Painters

Martino Abellana, known as "Noy Tinong", was a renowned Cebuano painter from Carcar. Dubbed "The Dean of Cebuano Painters", he was born to an artistic family. His main influence was his father, who was a school principal and a sculptor.

Martino Abellana (1914-1986) is a central figure in the development of most Cebuano artists. An all-around artist, He was a composer, painter, sculptor, embroiderer of liturgical vestments and an expert in arnis de mano.

Negros is noted for being the nation’s prime producer and exporter of sugar. Sugarcane plantation is prevalent in the agricultural areas of the island. Then, followed by the organic agricultural products such as corn, rice, and coconut. Meanwhile, in the coastal areas, fishing is considered as the main source of livelihood.

The principal products grown are sugarcane, cassava, coconut, corn and rice.

Cristina “Kitty” Sollesta - Taniguchi

Kitty, who hails from Dumaguete City, Philippines. Her hurdles were mostly the absence of good system of communications and hard to find good materiais were not as accessible. Despite the obstacles in the 80s, she still pursued her passion as an independent Visual artist and by 1992. Now Kitty Taniguchi's is a champion of feminine aesthetic

Next, we have Bohol. Bohol is famous for its Chocolate Hills, a natural geological formation consisting of more than a thousand hills that turn brown during the dry season, resembling chocolate mounds.

Aside from its natural wonders, Bohol is also home to the Hinagdanan Cave, a beautiful underground cave system that will leave you in awe.

Agriculture is the main source of economic activity in Bohol with a greater number of its people engage in farming, fishing and like most of the other provinces tourism. The products of the region is that of Bohol’s hand-made products include bags, decors, house accessories, floor mats, fashion accessories, hats, baskets and other materials that makes as souveniers for tourist.

Napoleon Abueva

Napoleon Abueva was born in Manila but grew up in Duero, Bohol. He finished his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture from the University of the Philippines School of Fine Arts in 1953. He was mentored by the first National Artist for Sculptor Guillermo Tolentino.

Napoleon "Billy" Veloso Abueva was known as the "Father of Modern Philippine Sculpture" Through Proclamation No. 1539. He was an expert in both the academic representational style and modern abstract, and has utilized almost all kinds of material in his art, from hard wood to adobe, metal, etc.

Siquijor

Last but not least, we have Siquijor, the land of mysticism and magic. The province is known for its traditional healers and sorcerers who use art and music as a form of healing. The "bolo-bolo" ritual, a traditional healing ceremony that involves chanting and music, is a fascinating display of the province's unique artistic culture.

The Siquijor Island's capital is Siquijor, and tourism is the main source of livelihood and economy here. In this municipality, some other sources of livelihood are: Crafts making.

Like with the other Central Visayan provinces, they are known for their hand-woven baskets, woodcarvings and painting.
