Martino Abellana, known as "Noy Tinong", was a renowned Cebuano painter from Carcar. Dubbed "The Dean of Cebuano Painters", he was born to an artistic family. His main influence was his father, who was a school principal and a sculptor.
Martino Abellana (1914-1986) is a central figure in the development of most Cebuano artists. An all-around artist, He was a composer, painter, sculptor, embroiderer of liturgical vestments and an expert in arnis de mano.

In Negros Oriental, the art scene is vibrant and diverse. The province is home to the Negros Oriental Arts and Heritage (NOAH), a haven for local artists to showcase their talents and collaborate with other creatives. Negros is noted for being the nation’s prime producer and exporter of sugar. Sugarcane plantation is prevalent in the agricultural areas of the island. Cristina “Kitty” Sollesta - Taniguchi

Next, we have Bohol. Bohol is famous for its Chocolate Hills, a natural geological formation consisting of more than a thousand hills that turn brown during the dry season, resembling chocolate mounds.
Aside from its natural wonders, Bohol is also home to the Hinagdanan Cave, a beautiful underground cave system that will leave you in awe.

Napoleon Abueva
Napoleon Abueva was born in Manila but grew up in Duero, Bohol. He finished his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture from the University of the Philippines School of Fine Arts in 1953. He was mentored by the first National Artist for Sculptor Guillermo Tolentino.
Napoleon "Billy" Veloso Abueva was known as the "Father of Modern Philippine Sculpture" Through Proclamation No. 1539. He was an expert in both the academic representational style and modern abstract, and has utilized almost all kinds of material in his art, from hard wood to adobe, metal, etc.

Last but not least, we have Siquijor, the land of mysticism and magic. The province is known for its traditional healers and sorcerers who use art and music as a form of healing. The "bolo-bolo" ritual, a traditional healing ceremony that involves chanting and music, is a fascinating display of the province's unique artistic culture.
