STAR WARS AS THE CELL

KESSEL

THE ENDOPLASCTIC RETICULUMS

THE NUCLEUS

MITOCHONDRIA

CELL MEMBRANE

The nucleus controls the cell. It is a small purple object protected by and enveloped by a shell called the nuclear envelope. transcription, the processing of RNA and DNA replication all take place in this large sphere. The nucleus controls growth, destruction and basically green lights anything that happens in the cell

THE FUNCTION

As for an analogy, the death star is perfect for the nucleus, it controls the universe (the cell) and the only things that take place are what they say is allowed to. It also holds a lot of supplies and where new troopers are trained (the duplication of DNA)

THE ANALOGY

The cell membrane has a few main functions, including fighting and keeping toxic substances away from the cell and acts as a border choosing what substances come in or go out. They do this by opening up and letting good things through and closing when bad substances are attempting to enter.

THE FUNCTION

Stormtroopers would act as a perfect substitution for the cell membrane, they protect the univere (the cell) from spuce traders and rebels and choose what is allowed in the universe. If something is there that should not be it will be destroyed. all around, stromtroopers are just the protectors of the universe similair to the cell membrane.

THE ANALOGY

Lumped together, the function of the smooth and rough endoplasmic reticulums is and transport route where proteins and molecules can move throughout the cell safely. along with this they can also transport supplies for the cell such as water and proteins.

THE FUNCTION

hyperdive highways or more commonly known as hyperspace lanes are the quickest way to travel through the universe (Cell) safely, no risk of crashing into anyone and no risk of getting lost. these act as a sort of highways in Star Wars and are often used to transport supplies to those in need which makes it near identical to the smooth and rough endoplasmic reticulums.

THE ANALOGY

The mitochondrias function in the cell on a basic level is too provide energy, they do this by combining food molecules and oxygen to provide "ATP" which powers all major functions of the cell. it is a small bean shaped structore with rivits inside storing all it's important parts.

THE FUNCTION

Kyber crystals around magical rocks with a strong connection to all sides of the force, light and dark. It is used to power many important things in the universe (cell) such as lightsabers, cities and even the death star (the nucleus)

THE ANALOGY

RIBOSOMES

LYSOSOMES

GOLGI

The function of the ribosomes is too produce proteins through three stages; initiation, elongination, termination. In said order. the proteins made, do many important things in the cell some including replication of DNA and transporting molecules.

THE FUNCTION

Spice miners are slaves on kessel that mine spice (protein) and turn into useble substances, these slaves are all wookies and are very consistent in supplying the universe (cell) with spice (protein)

THE ANALOGY

The golgi apperatus is the transport and sorting of the protein that is coming from the ribosomes. the golgi will take this protein and send it to places in the cell where it then builds structures within the cell and keeps it strong.

THE FUNCTION

Spice runners are dealers that move spice across the universe (the cell) and sell it to people. where it is used to pay for infastructure building such as the death star (nucleus)

THE ANALOGY

The lysosomes act as a sort of dump in the cell, used to consume and get rid of material outside the cell and to destroy unimportant parts of the cell that are no longer needed.

THE FUNCTION

There are many garbage dumps in the Star Wars universe because of the sheer amount of uneeded materials. There is even full planets dedicated to dumping garbage, similair to a lysosome.
