WW2 started when Germany lost WW1. They were forced to pay a fine of £6000000 which made them very short of money. They were also forced to give up some of their land. The people of Germany were furious. So Hitler rose to the challenge. He and his Nazi party promised Germany that they would be great again. Therefore they invaded other countries. England declared war. The second world war started on the 3rd September 1939.

The Ministery of Food is a govermental department to help make people make the most of their rations. They made pamphlets radio and TV broad casts. Some of their ideas were used by many people however, some of the ideas did not go as planned. Some of the ideas consisted of eratz coffee, which was dandilion root. Many people made nasty comments such as disgusting, eww, not for me and many more.
