Perception
The perception of this book is that before all of the news reports and pictures of the hurricane came out no one knew how bad the hurricane was, so at first not that many people came to help out.
Reality
The Reality of the story
The reality of the story is that this hurricane is the worst of all time. FEMA and a lot of Americans came to New Orleans and helped rebuild. They helped make New Orleans great again.
Perception Vs Reality
The perception of the story is different than the reality of the story because the perception is how the Americans thought the hurricane was going to be and the reality is how bad the hurricane actually was. The Americans assumption of the hurricane was very wrong so, when they found out how bad it really was they were shocked. Some people who lived in Alabama and Georgia thought that they would be safe but, they actually got effected.
