Who's the Messiah?
EXPLANATION
- Messiah or Mashiach(in Hebrew)means 'THE ONE ANOINTED WITH OIL' as we know is Jesus and we learned in the class that he is the Son of Man or Son of God and in Greek it's 'MESEAS'.
- As we know the DEATH & EVIL will be there still in the world and Jesus would be coming in end to destroy this.
- And we know Jesus the deliverer would come to confront the evil and rescue humanity.And he did this to destroy evil by letting the evil destroy him(death).
- The anointed oil in olden days were kept by the high priests in the temple as it is sacred and even this same anointing oil was used by Moses to drench Aaron in the tabernacle.
- The LORD'S ANOINTED which was David,Saul and Solomon were anointed as king
- When you're anointed,you become separated or consecrated(set apart)because there's a purpose.
- Jesus was anointed by God to become a king like David,a priest like Aaron and anointed by Holy Spirit to bring good news like Isaiah said.
- Even we're anointed as said in 1 John 2:20.
