In House, the character Harry couldn't be more indecisive about the decisions he has made for his family by selling the boat and buying a house. He goes through a mixture of different feelings.
“I’m not kidding.” Harry, said a hurt in his voice that alerted and sobered them all. “I really think it’s time we all grew up.”

He believes that their thinking like little kids with this dream of living on a boat or an island forever and being a unique family but he wants to think more realistically for the future of his kids and the family.

In House we come across a nice husband (Harry) who struggles with the feeling of being too unique in a world that is beginning to become more modern. His wife (Anna) and his two kids Joey and Doll however, have no problem with living on a boat. Harry wants a change. He wants to live in a house on the main land for the sake of his kids future and so everything is more accessible. The family agrees with him and follows along with some reasoning. He later on realizes that he made a bad decision and should have wanted to be who he is along.
