The rough endoplasmic reticulum would be the zookeepers/workers. The staff at the zoo makes sure that the zoo is clean, and that the animal’s exhibits stay tidy. They are always helping the zoo at all times; just like the rough endoplasmic reticulum helps the cell. The rough endoplasmic reticulum packages proteins that are made by ribosomes. These proteins are used to strengthen the cell, structure, function, and regulate organs and tissues. They both make their space stronger and better.
The smooth endoplasmic reticulum would be the cages that the animals are in. The smooth endoplasmic reticulum is responsible for storing energy, lipids, ions, and steroids until they are needed. It also protects the cell. Like the smooth endoplasmic reticulum, the cages that the animals are in are spaces to ensure the animal is safe, and are good for not having the animal break free.
The mitochondria would act as the drinks, and food sold at the zoo. At zoos, there are different stands and buildings that have different types of food in/at them. When people eat the food, it creates more energy for them to walk around longer and to spend more time at the zoo. Similar to this, the mitochondria also generates energy for the cell’s biochemical reactions. The mitochondria also is known to act like a digestive system and will take in the nutrients, breaks them down, and then will create energy.
Ribosomes would be the visitors in the zoo. They come in and out of the zoo all day nonstop. The visitors also regulate and create profit for the zoo. The protein ribosomes create are just like the visitors creating profit for the zoo. If the visitors come in (the ribosomes) then they’ll create profit (proteins) for the zoo which will benefit the animals, their enclosures and more.
The cell membrane is the fence surrounding the whole zoo. The cell membrane is what borders the cell and gives it shape; just like a fence would. The cell membrane is also known as a protective layer to the cell and maintains a safe environment for a cell; a fence does the same, but encloses all the space in the zoo and creates another layer of protection for the visitors and animals.
The vacuole would be the different trash cans placed around the zoo. As known, there are lots of smaller vacuoles in the cell that get rid of waste. In zoos, spread out all across the zoo are trash cans that store and get rid of waste that prevent the act of littering in the zoo. These trash cans remove all of the waste which is identical to the job of the vacuole.
The nucleus would be the main office of the zoo where you can either get your tickets checked, or buy tickets. The main office is the brain of the zoo and it keeps the zoo in line by circulating visitors to come in. The main office also stores all of the important information of the zoo; maps, brochures, additional information, etc.
