The Second Amendment of the United States is the Right to Keep and Bare Arms. In the Constituion, the Second Amendment declares that "a well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bare arms, shall not be infringed."
Why was the Second Amendment in the Constitution in the first place?
The Second Amendment was ratified in 1791, to allow the the U.S citizens to be able to counteract a possible repressing government. James Madison was concerned that in future generations the government would become corrupt and have a tyrannical ruler just like what they expierenced with King George III.

JOINT RESOLUTION
Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to add the twenty eighth article of amendment.
That the following article is proposed as an amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which shall be valid to all intents and purposes as part of the Constitution when ratified by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several States within seven years after the date of its submission for ratification:
In order to better protect the people of The United States of America, we recommend that more restrictions and limitations are created for gun control. This will save lives and reduce gun related deaths. The reduced presence of guns would make a conflict less likely to become violent.
More gun control laws are needed to protect women from domestic abusers and stalkers.
There are many reasons why the 28th amendment is needed today. Many of these reasons have to do with recent events involving school shooters and police violence.
