When Eva was born, she lived in Leeuwarden, Holland with her family. She had her little brother Abraham Beem, and her parents Hartog and Rosette Beem

Before Germany invaded, growing up her father was a high school teacher. She would go to school in their small town, where her father taught.

When the Germans first invanded Eva was eight years old. Her family decided to go into hiding to stay safe.

Eva and her brother Abraham went into hiding. They stayed with a Christan family in Ermelo. That family gave them new names, and sent them to school as non-Jewish kids.

Soon, Eva and her brother were discovered and denounced as Jewish, and were sold. They were sent to a death camp in Poland. They were gassed upon arrival.
What I learned
I learned that you should never take advantage of the things you have. I also learned that anything can happen at any age, so you should alwasy be gratefull and enjoy everything.
