Constitutional Principles
The Constitutional principles are make the foundation of the constitution, and they work to prevent corruption by limiting and distributing power through out the country
Popular Sovereignty is the most fundamental idea behind the U.S. It means that the power of the government is derived from the people.
A modern example of popular sovereignty is the establishment of Joe Biden as president
Rule of law is the principle that society is governed by laws that apply to everyone no matter who, meaning that even the government and influential people must follow the law.
A modern example of this is the incarceration of Harvey Weinstein as formerly powerful Hollywood producer who has been accused of rape and sexual assault
Having a Limited Government means that the government only has as the power that was given to it, with the ones that give the power being the States.
In modern day it is hard to find an example of this as over time we the people gave the government more and more power.
The separation of power was created to limit the amount of power a group of people can have within the government.
An example of this is our legislative, executive, and judicial branches, who require authorization from each other to make and modify federal laws
Checks and balances are what makes separation of power functional, as it means that each branch of government is empowered by the other to prevent the action of another and force them to share power.
The First Amendment
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances".
it started off as a joke that Fredrick made, where he put up a sign saying "Bong Hits 4 Jesus" in front of the media's cameras during a field trip to see the relay racers, In response to this the school suspended him under the grounds of promoting drug use, however Frederick sued the school for limiting his free speech as his sigh was not on school property and was simply something that school did not agree with in the end the court ruled narrowly in the school's favor
This case involves a student going to school wearing a T-shirt with guns and other weapons on it, seeing this the school suspended him under the grounds of inciting violence. The student and his family believed that this was unjust and filed a lawsuit on the grounds of violating free speech as it was the students choice to wear it, and that it said nothing that was inciting any violence.
The Reconstruction Amendment
The reconstruction amendments where created after the civil war in order to free the black people and give them rights
however to to the actions of certain states the rights of these amendments have been limited
Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
This amendment freed the slaves however where circumvented using the black codes made it so that instead of any slave not being able to walk alone without permission of a slaver owner it became no Black man was able to do so with out the permission of a white employer
All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
With the creation of the 14th amendment it made any man born on the United States soil or admitted into citizenship into a citizen regardless of Race or skin color. however ate the time this did not include Women and Native American Tribes-men and women, this has been mitigated into allowing both women and tribe-folk to become citizens
The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of race, color, or previous condition of servitude.
This gave every American the right to participate in any vote no matter their race or skin color, which also gave any new immigrants the chance to vote in as well the previously enslaved population. however this amendment was easily circumvented with the use of Literacy tests that where designed to be failed and the Grandfather Clauses which allows any person who's grandfather was able to vote the ability to vote without being impeded. this caused a divide that can still be felt today however as time moves forward this rift Is shrinking as people fight for equal voting rights.
19th Amendment
The 19th Amendment
The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.
On july 19-20, 1848 was the first women's rights convention in american history, inwich the public was educated in the injustices that women where going through through the creation of "The Declaration of sentiments"
Sojourner Truth was born 1797 as a slave before escaping, and in may 28, 1851 she gave a speech a the Ohio women's convention, Sojourner Truth gave many Speeches that moved those who fought for equality for both Sex and Race.
Susan B. Anthony founded the National Woman Suffrage Association in 1869 along with Elizabeth Cady Stanton and was spear heading the Equality for women
Elizabeth Cady Stanton was extremely active in many civil rights movements. she helped create the National Woman Suffrage Association and run the Seneca falls convention, as a result she became a figure head for women's rights and social justice
Jeannette Rankin was the first women to be elected into US congress on the year 1880, She then preceded to create a Women's scholarship fun that still is active today

After one year from the ratification of this article the manufacture, sale, or transportation of intoxicating liquors within, the importation thereof into, or the exportation thereof from the United States and all territory subject to the jurisdiction thereof for beverage purposes is hereby prohibited.
The 18th Amendment

The 18th amendment was made in an attempt to cut out corruption and crime from society in addition it was done to increase Religeous abstinence and therefor piety
This affected america by increasing crime including violent crimes which the ammendment tried to prevent, in addition it severely damaged the economy, while making illegal sources profit and expand immensely
