Edward J. Hughes, more commonly known by his pen name Ted Hughes was one of the most influential and greatest poets of the 20th century.
Hughes was first inspired to submit some of his first poems by his wife, Sylvia Plath, whom he married in 1956.
Some of Hughes' best works include poems like "The Thought Fox(1957)", "The Iron Man(1968)" and the poem we are talking about today, "Anniversary."
