Discussion

When one student was asked to explain why he didn’t do his homework, he wrote a note to his teacher defending his actions. The hilarious letter, written by 14-year-old Eddie Cortez, is now going viral on Twitter. “So my cousin and his wife got an email from their sons teacher,” user @_lyddz tweeted on February 13, along with a picture of the note. “He didn’t do his hw so she asked him to write a paper saying why he didn’t do his hw and this is what she got…”

Discussion

1. Do you agree with Eddie? Why? Why not?

2. What advantages does homework have?

3. Why can it be useful to do it?

4. What drawbacks does homework have?

5. If you were a teacher, would you give your

students a lot of homework? Why?
