Introduction
This design is one the deals with response bias that occurs when we word the same question differently. We chose a question that can be made to sound like its a bad thing to see if there would be bias in the answers.
Method
When teenagers reach an age around 17 they start to become independent, but some do not become independent and rely on their parents. Some might find this embarrassing, and others might not. Using this information, we will conduct an experiment where we ask a question two different ways and write down the results.
Survey #1
"Do you let your parents buy your things?"
After going to the mall and asking teenagers-young adults, we get theses results
Yes-27
No-23
Survey #2
"There are some people who think that millennials are spoiled, knowing this information do you still let your parents buy your things?"
After doing polls on instagram we got these results
Yes-16
No-34
Results
The results that we got from this experiment was expected by us. Since the wording is different and makes it sound like a bad thing, people decided to answer no so they would not be embarrassed.
