Physical Network

What Problem does it solve?

-A physical connection solves the problem of miscommunication by allowing information to move over a network from device to device.

What Problem Does It Solve?

How Does It Work?

-Connect computers, smartphones, servers, and more using fiber optic cables, WiFi signals, or copper wires.

How Does It Work?

IP: Internet Protocal

IP: Internet Protocol

What Problem does it solve?

- It can prevent people from getting your location and intruding on your privacy in real life, your device getting hacked, and getting a DDoS attack from a hacker.

What Problem Does It Solve?

How Does It Work?

-An IP address is an identifier that allows information to be sent between devices on a network.

They contain location information and allow the device to access communications.

How Does It Work?

TCP: Transmission Control Protocol

What Problem does it solve?

- It solves problems from packet based messaging such as lost packets, out-of-order packets, duplicate packets, and corrupted packets.

What Problem Does It Solve?

How Does It Work?

-TCP is a transport protocol used in addition to IP to ensure reliable transmission of packets.

How Does It Work?

UDP: User Datagram Protocol

UDP: User Datagram Protocol

What Problem does it solve?

-UDP provides a mechanism to detect corrupted data in packets which makes it so that all data comes in clean and readable.

What Problem Does It Solve?

How Does It Work?

-UDP works by collecting the data in the UDP packet and adding its own header information to the packet and transporting it fast even though the messages arent the cleanist.

How Does It Work?

DNS: Domain Name System

DNS: Domain Name System

What Problem does it solve?

-It allows computers to be able to understand human translation and be able to transport information faster and in a way encode it from hackers.

What Problem Does It Solve?

How Does It Work?

-DNS translates domain names into IP addresses and allows browsers to load Internet resources.

How Does It Work?

HTTP: HyperText Transfer Protocol

HTTP: HyperText Transfer Protocol

What Problem does it solve?

-HTTP safely allows your computer to request and share web pages, audio files, images, videos, and other types of files on the Internet while making sure that it doesnt get messed with by 3rd party hackers.

What Problem Does It Solve?

How Does It Work?

-HTTP works by making Resources be exchanged over the Internet between client devices and servers, then a client device sends a request to a server for resources needed to load a web page. The server sends a response back to the client to satisfy the request.
