The main cause of the World War's outbreak was the assassination of Austrian Archduke Franz Ferdinand on June 28, 1914. Following the killing, the the next chain of things happened: Austria declared war on Serbia on July 28.
Armenian Genocide
April 24,1915
The circumstances of World War I were strongly related to the genocide of the Armenians. The Ottoman administration started expelling the Armenian population from its northeastern border territories in the spring of 1915 out of fear that advancing enemy troops might persuade Armenians to join them.
