Lesson three - Organising my research
Next, organise your research by deciding on the main key areas that you think the reader will find interesting. Using a mind map, add a subheading for each of these key areas. Under each subheading make
short notes or bullet points of what you'd like to include.
Remember this is just a plan for how you will organise your fact file, you do not need to write lots!

Tip!
Leave lots of room around the outside of your picture for all of your facts.
Your title will go at the top of your fact file page.
Sketch your favourite picture of a Meerkat. This will go in the centre of the fact file page.
Next, draw boxes around your Meerkat for each subheading in your plan.
My plan has six
subheadings, so I will
need six boxes!
