Listen to the story and use your detective skills to make some notes about:

  • the type of foods meerkats eat
  • the type of places meerkats live
  • the type of climates/weather meerkats like
  • the way merrkats behave
  • things meerkats are scared of

Lesson two

- 1 hour

Lesson two - Finding out about meerkcats

Using books and the internet research some important facts about Meerkats. Including:

  • What do Meerkats look like? How tall are they?
  • Where do Meerkats live? What are their homes like?
  • What countries can you find Meerkats in? What is the climate like there?
  • Do Meerkats live in a group? What are baby Meercats like?
  • What do Meerkats eat? How do Meerkats find their food?
  • Why do they stand up so straight?
