The climax is when the lottery begins. The lottery was full of civic activities. Then they brought the black box and Mr. Summers began to call out the names.
The falling action is when Mr. Summers says that Bill Hutchinson got it. Then Tessie yells that it was not fair. The falling action includes Mr. Hutchinson's family getting slips of paper to find out who got the slip.
The conclusion is when they find out that Tessie has the slip of paper with the black dot. The person with the black dot gets hit with the stones that the kids picked up at the beginning of the story.
