Learning How to Swim
Learning How To Swim
Last summer I learned how to swim. Before I knew how to swim my friends would ask me to go to pools or quarrys and I would never go because I couldn't swim and I was not going to be in the shallow ends. This summer I learned to swim and I had a lot of fun. I went to the quarry, river jumping, naperville centenial. All of these places seem like normal places that people go all the time, but I was never able to experience them before this year. I was able to meet a lot of new freinds, and create a lot of new memories. Swimming is one of my new favorite things to do.
Nate Moving
Nate was my best friend. I met him before kindergarten because our sisters were friends. Ever since then Nate has always been there. Nate moved to Florida 2-3 years ago. The things we have experienced together were special. Ever since Nate moved I have not had any friends that could fill the bond that we had. I went to South Carolina in 2021 during the summer and Nate drove to see me for a day. He also came back to Illinois for a weekend in 2022. We still talk occasionaly and have the same bond we used to, but I miss my bestfriend.
Arizona
Almost all of my extended family lives in Arizona. My grandparents, my dad and aunt, and I still live in Illinois, but everyone else has moved away. We went to visit them twice in the past two years. These trips have taught me the importance of spending quality time with the people you care about. While I was there I went to the Grand Canyon. I was very surprised to see something like that. It honestly looked fake. I was even more surprised when I saw people close to the edge.
