- Much of Buddha's life is still a mystery to us, however some key events that are widely agreed upon are that Buddha supposedly left his home at 29 years of age, attained enlightenment at 35 and died 45 years later

- Siddhartha moved to a small village and sat under a tree for 7 days or weeks and opened his eyes once he was enlightened
- Weeks after his enlightenment he decided to communicate what he learned to others
