COMPUTER

Introduction

- is an electronic machine that performs tasks or calculations based on the set of instructions or programs which accept information, processes, and then output.

HARDWARE

- refers to physical parts of a computer that you can see and touch.

- Larry Page and Sergey Brin developed a new type of search engine and named it Google.

- International Business Machine. Over 100 computer languages were developed.

- Bill Gates and Microsoft introduced the Windows operating system, which forever changed desktop computing.

- Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer. It is considered as the world's first created computer.

- a counting board much like the later abacus is believed to be first used by the Babylonians

- Universal Automatic Computer. The first computer for commercial use was introduced to the public.

- a computer defeated world champion Garry Kasparov in chess.

- a machine designed by Charles Babbage, that is considered to be the concept for the first general mechanical computer.

- Steve Jobs and Apple provided the Macintosh computer with its icon driven interface. It featured a small box with a button called mouse.

- Apple debuted the Iphone. It is both a phone and a handheld computer that runs apps. They also launched Ipad, a tablet computer which is very light and features touchscreen.

Types of Computers

Computers range in size and capability. Computers can be classified into three general categories.

It is fastest, largest, most powerful, and most expensive computer

Mainframe Computers

It is a little smaller and less powerful than the supercomputer, but is also expensive.

Personal Computers (PCs)

It is your personal computer or which people most commonly use. It is much smaller, less powerful, and less expensive than the super and the mainframe computer design for your desk or table.
