Symbolism
A major symbol in the Red, Red Rose is a rose because the poem is about love and a rose symbolizes love. A sweet melody is another symbol for love in the poem.
Some imagery in the poem is "O my Luve is like a red red, rose", beause you can smell a rose and it is sweet.
The other one that I think has a lot of description is "and the rocks melt wi' the sun", because I can visulaize this in my head.
Figurative Language
"O my Luve is like a red, red rose" and "O my Luve is like the melody" are both similies. They both compare two things with like.
"A Red Red, Rose" is a aliteration becuse it uses three words that have the same first letter.
"Till a' the seas gang dry, my dear" is a idiom because it is a saying said by certain people.
"And the rocks melt wi' the sun;" is a hyperbole because the rocks cant actually melt with the sun.
Tone
The tone in the poem is romance because the poem is about how he is expressioning his love to the rose.
Theme
The theme is love because the poem is about falling in love with this one preson.
