Hero's Journey Hunger Games Presentation

1. The World of Common Day

The common day is full of chores to be done in a rural area. This is set in district 12 of the zones. People work as coal miners to get the supplies needed to survive. There is no technology used in the every day life and Katniss usually hunts for food to sell and eat for her and her family. Katniss' father died when she was younger and she had to be the woman of the house for her mom and sister.

Katniss and her friend Gale wanted to stop watching "The Hunger Games" so then the games would not continue. They then thought about running away but did not go through with it because they believe they would get caught.

The reaping day comes and two tributes are picked per district to play in "The Hunger Games". The tributes will then fight other tributes to the death for their district. Katniss' sister, Primrose Everdeen, gets picked and so Katniss then volenterrs to save her. Peeta Mellark also gets chosen as tribute.

4. The Meeting With the Mentor

Katniss and Peeta meet Haymitch who is their mentor. Haymitch has won "The Hunger Games" before. He teaches them to get sponsers to like them and how to survive. He taught them what resources to go for and to not show off their skills.

5. Test, Allies, and Enemies

All the tributes from the 12 districts train. Some of them are in groups while others train alone. The tributes notice eachothers strengths and weaknesses. They all display their skills to show they are not ones to be messed with. They then go to the game makers and sponsors to show why they would be a good investment.

The tributes get sent to the game grounds they wait for the timer to off. When the alarm goes off, the tributes run to the supplies in the middle of the game arena. When everyone is getting the supplies, Katniss runs to an open supply bag. She escapes the center where everyone else is killing everyone and hides in the woods.

Katniss starts to venture out and gets too close the border. The game makers watching her have to turn her around so she makes everything around her get caught on fire. She gets turned back around and burned. She uses hornets to protect herself from the other tributes but she also gets stung. She sleeps for a few days and meets a new freind named Rue.

8. The Supreme Ordeal

Katniss and Rue make an alliance and make a plan to distroy the other groups stuff. After they blow up the resources, Rue gets stuck and Katniss then saves her. Another tribute throws a spear at Rue and Katniss then kills him. Rue shortly dies after, and her death reminds Katniss of her sister Prim. Katniss makes her a flower bed for her to rest in peace.

Katniss gets to Peeta and they survive together until they are the last ones standing. They were going to win together but the game makers changed the rules to where only one tribute can win. They decide they would rather die than only one win so they almost eat poisen berries. The game makers then change the rules again and both Peeta and Katniss win together.

10. The Road Back

After the games, Katniss and Peeta get sent back to be interviewed to talk about their experiences. They have to watch what they say so they don't get in trouble with the capital. After they get done with the questioning, they gets sent back to district 12 as the "74th Annual Hunger Games winners".

When Peeta and Katniss got back they got everthing provided for them and they get to live their lives. They don't play the game again and are given everything they need.

Katniss no longer has to hunt for food or money. Her and Peeta have both been given fame and fortune. They each have a house and live with their families.
