Welcome to Beowulf.

Here we will examine the good v.s evil dichotomy in two of its characters:

THE GOOD:

BEOWULF

When Beowulf learns that Grendel has no weapons, he refuses to use weapons as well.

Example 2

"He has no idea of the arts of war... but he does possess a wild strength."

He fits the respectful fighter archetype.

Beowulf defeats Grendel

with his own hands,

He outsmarts Grendel,

luring him into a trap, contrasting his tact with Grendel's fury.

He RIPS off Grendel's arm,

saving the mead-hall.
