Education

Henry was tought by John Skelton, Bernard Andre and other people, he received the best english school, song school and university education of the day, studying pretty much all languages. He became king at the age of 17 in 1509!. And reigned for 24 years. Wich I think is a little amount of time.

When John Skelton was teaching the King, Henry was already learing Latin, literature, rhetoric, dialectic, music, French, Italian and Spanish.

John Skelton is definitely the first major poet, writing during the reign of Edward the IV, Richard the III, and Henry the VII and Henry the VIII.

Henry VIII's reign was 1509 through 1547, is usually remembered for the King's six wives and his legendary appetite. His wives, Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard, both died by Henry the VIII hands. Henry VIII took the throne in 1509 at age 17!!!. And married Catherine of Aragon 42 days later. Over the next 15 years, while Henry fought three wars with France, Catherine gave Henry three sons and three daughters, all but one of whom died.

In 1544, Henry the VIII attacked France with 36,000 soldiers, the largest army sent over seas by an English rulers until the reign of William the III. Henry captured the town of Boulogne and tens of thousands of acres of land. It was the greatest growth of English territory on the continent In the One Hundred Year War

War 2 (Scotland)

Henry declared war so that the Scottish Parliament would agree to have a marriage between Edward, who was six years old. with all that it would create a new alliance between Scotland and England. In 1544, Henry VIII ordered an invasion of Scotland because he wanted to bring to an end to the Auld Alliance a friendship between Scotland and France. He was also angered that the Treaty of Greenwich.

War 3 (Ireland)

Henry The VIII's two daughters, Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth wanted the English Monarch to have more power in Ireland

Rebellion

In January 1537 there was a rebellion by Roman Catholics in Cumberland against King Henry VIII and the English Parliament. The rebellion was led by Sir Francis Bigod, of Settrington in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
