The colosseum is the largest theatre in the world. a modern day football pitch could easily fit inside this ancient sporting arena. oval in shape it measures about the hight of a 12 story building With 8 entrances it could seat around 50,000 spectators that would come to watch the games and events.

It’s thought that the workers who made these tiles occasionally wrote messages on the back, meaning this exemplary monument is full of hidden notes. Due to the statue’s mountaintop location, it’s prone to lightning strikes and gets struck about three to six times a year. Prior to the FIFA World Cup in 2014, lightning hit it's thumb and caused the statue to have only 4 fingers on one hand.
