Judge Training Sessions
These are required for parents of Novice Members.
From 6:45 - 7:45 on the first two Tuesdays and Thursdays of October.
Only 1 of your parents is required to come.
If both your parents are interested, they can come
They will learn how to be a judge for Speech and Debate tournaments.
Mason Mock Tournament
- Sign up on Schoology
- From 8AM - 12PM
- Round 1: 9AM
- Round 2: 10AM
- Round 3: 11AM
- Competing only with Novices from your own event
- Models a "real" tournament experience
- Lunch will not be provided

Homecoming Parade
- Marching in the Homecoming parade this year
- Thursday October 5th around 6:30 PM
- Wear Speech and Debate attire or spirit wear

- Getting a Bid gives 15 points
- Getting twice the bid amount gives 5 points
- Winning a round or placing higher than 3rd in a speech round gives 2 pts
- Doubled in break rounds

- Granular Points awarded on a scale of -1 to 5
- Attending practice starts you off with 1 point
- Winning mock rounds gives 2 points
- Late drops are -20 points
- Going to team events is 3 points

- Only practice from the past 30 days are counted
- Tournament placings from beyond 30 days are halved
