Guess the Leader

Guess the leader

how it works

One person is selected or volunteers to be the "guesser" and leaves the room.

Of those remaining in the room, another person becomes the "leader" while the rest of the group forms a circle.

The guesser re-enters the room and stands in the center of the circle.

The rest of the players mimic movements that the leader makes, while the guesser tries to figure out who the leader is.

Because my 1st-grade students' Reading assessment data showed substantial gaps in word knowledge making it hard for my students to read for meaning. I attended Reading Competency 5 to learn how to develop a Case Study to interpret my students' assessment data and implement different reading strategies and a remediation plan to meet the needs of all my students. As a result, 80% of my students in 1st Grade, including all my English Language Learners and ESE students will demonstrate significant progress and growth in Vocabulary as evidenced in their proficiency in the understanding of the vocabulary used in literature and content area by October 2021, when they complete their AP1.

(R) Because my kindergarten student’s data assessment on reading comprehension shows an ongoing learning need in their conceptual of understanding word recognition. I attended professional development to learn and enhance (S) how to implement a variety of instructional practices such as hands on activities with manipulatives, use of auditorial, visuals, and reading activities. As a result (M) 75% of my kindergarten students, (I&E) including all eligible students with unfinished learning (by age, gender, race, and other characteristics, ESE, English Language Learners, & students of color) will demonstrate proficiency in their conceptual understanding of word recognition (A) as evidenced by their proficiency in reading sentence assessment by (T) October 28, 2021.
