This manifesto was written by Tobi Vail and it was considered one of the zine to spread the word about Riot Grrrl but there was also a buzz with media that had mixed feelings about it. Younger Women had a much positive feedback saying that they felt understood, while older women felt that this was a bad representation of women. The media also had mixed feelings and didn't really know how to take this information and most of time set a too low or too high instead of taking the message as it is, and when things like that happened bands didn't want to be associated with media because of the false romorus they where spreading.

Zine where always used punk events or other punk movements as a diy type of aesthetic, so when riot grrrl movement was barley being formed they adopted the idea of zines to use as band posters and published for the mini essays they wrote, for what they felt, and also to host meet and greets for women and give a safe space and talk about them shared experiences they have. In most of the zines there's were daily news messages since actual news sights were not reliable. Most bands did this because of concerts publications but Bikini Kill made zines have a connections with the audiences on what their morals were.

Manifesto 1

Riot grrrl trief to help girls from those boundaries and dont let themselves get taken advantage of so they can do what thy want to do.

Society needs to stop sterotyping women and actually treat them fairly instead of discriminating becuase it really does damage their way fo thinking if they want to become something but can't because of society's impact on it and boundaries on what girls can and can't do

They also want to stop having those thought so girls never have to think about what society tells them to do and worry over it.

"Riot Grrrl is a network of men and women who want to change society in creative ways"

This zine is about how they don't want them to put boundaries from society on themselves and worry about it. Also, that stereotypes are annoying to go with and just want to be themselves.

Sleater Kinney

Sleater Kinney

lyrics and analysis

This called song Little Babies by Sleater Kinney explains is that that male rock idols get to rock out and do their thing, but women are the ones that take care of the male rock stars.

This means that women don't get to rock out. Instead they are seen as the traditional idea of women which is maternal care and support of groupies.

Zines

This zine is about about that men want to take advantage when women fall for them. Men want to purify them, make the women blind to their bad side and then break their hearts. That they want you every thing and they take it away from you.
