Situation/Climate: Joy and Sadness got stuck in long term memory and Riley couldn't be happy nor sad and was left with anger, disgust, and fear.

Theme: Sadness is a very important emotion in people's lives.

  • The Anderson family moved from Minnesota to San Francisco.
  • Sadness starts touching the memories then she tries to touch the core memories.
  • Then Sadness touches the core memory that is up on screen and the memory turns blue.

Climax

The climax of the movie is whenever Sadness and Joy enter the long term memory and they can't re-enter Headquarters so they have to find another way to get to Headquarters.

  • Joy and Sadness try to get back to headquarters by going through goofball island then goofball island falls.
  • They find Bing Bong and he tries to help Joy and Sadness by going through the train.
  • Bing Bong and Joy fall in junkyard and Bing Bong helps Joy get back up to long term memory to help her get back to headquarters.

Resolution

Joy and Sadness make it back up to headquarters and Joy realizes that Sadness is a big part of Riley's life and that Sadness is very important to her. Then Riley is happy again and decides to play Hockey again and the core memories well she made new ones which made new islands.
