Psychology is the study of mind and behavior. It encompasses the biological influences, social pressures, and environmental factors that affect how people think, act, and feel.

Definition: It is the art and craft of using observable actions and images to deceive viewers.

Why is it used in that field?

Referring to optical illusions actually leads us to reach beyond physical reality to install ourselves in mental reality.

In this sense, illusions can lead us to question ourselves if it is possibles to trust all the data provided by the senses, or if reality is as we thinks we know it.
