Rosa Louise McCauley Parks was born on Febuary 4 ,1913 in Tuskegee, Alabama.

In 1932 when Rosa was just 19 she married a wonderful man named Raymond parks. 12 years later she started working at Maxwell Air force Base.
On December 1 Rosa got arrested for refusing to give her seat to a white man. When Rosa got out she moved to Detroit, Michigan and began working for rep. Sadly Rosa's husband died on August 19, 1977. Then Rosa established the Institute for self development.
Rosa then retired for more than 20 years in Conyers office. Finally Rosa published her first book called My story with Jim Haskins. Rosa then receivied her first US Civilian honor, the presidential Medal of freedom on September 6, 1996. 9 years later Rosa Parks sadly died on October 24, 2005 at age 92.
