Scientists in the U.S have recently reported that bee extinction is a fact, happening at an alarming rapid rate causing catastrophic effects on our planet.
A change is needed in order to sustain our society and ensure our future lives.
Greenpeace used social media to raise awarness about this problem.
Although the extinction of bees is a worldwide problem, in the U.S we find one of the most preoccupying situations.
"The U.S is a country in North- America, composed of 50 states and 5 major self-governing territories"
The U.S has one of the highest daily uses of pestices in the world. And it's one of the contients with less natural areas prepared for bees.
Anthophila are small, flying insects that are responsible for pollination.
"One-sixth of the flowering plant species and about 400 different agricultural plants are pollinated by bees and thanks to that $30 billion are earned every year by the U.S"

As investigations have recorded, there are several causes provoking the extinction of bees. But the main causes are:
- The use of pesticides (Carbofuran, Phosphamidon, Clothianidin...)
- Destruction of their habitats, because of
the believe that they are disease carriers.

Because of all the previous causes, we can find a huge amount of consequences affecting:
- Plants (fall of the ecosystem)
- Animals (fall of the biological food chain)
- Fuel (rely on fossil fuels pressing more the envirnment)
- Economy (thousands of dollards lost in cloths and food)
- Topography (soon desertification)
- Humans (hunger and poverty)

Our three NGO's are hard working organizations which fight daily for the protection of bees.
In their program, each have a different list of actions to help this cause.
ACTIONS:
- Petitions to US and EU to stop using pesticides.
- Research for neonicotinoids which don’t affect bees.
- Research for other solutions.
- Fighting for the conservation of the environment.

ACTIONS:
- Trying to convince the US to help bees.
- Incorporating aspects they achieved in Europe to other countries.
- Research for neonicotinoids which don’t affect bees.
- Encouraging and talking to the general public.

ACTIONS:
- Dedication to the creation of a green minded generation.
- Work in schools and with children to start raising awarness from the begining.
- Funding researches into varroa mite and honey bee health.

Big NGO's already take care of activities which contribute the stoppage of bee extintion. However we need everyone to collaborate to make this problem disappear. Here are some ideas we can do to help the bees:
- Adopt a hive or sponsor a bee
- Buy only organic and ecological products, as well as local honey
- Collect signatures in order to help NGO’s get their ideas moving
- Avoid using pesticides in your gardens
- Talk with people about the problem in order to creat awarness and support
- Plant in your garden bee friendly plants such as lavander or bell flowers
- Creat nest sites for bees
- Keep the gardens leafy all year
- Stop killing bees
