JFK was a democratic president from 1961-1963. He was the 35th U.S. president. To become president he beat Richard Nixon. I think his greatest success was solving the Cuban missile crisis, because that could have killed everyone if not handled correctly. I think his greatest failure was failing to assassinate Fidel Castro, because he was a horrible person and could have saved many lives if he succeed.
John F. Kennedy was born on May 29, 1917. He graduated from Harvard in 1940. Shortly after he entered into the navy in 1943. He was a united States representative from 1947-1953 for Massachusetts. Then from 1953-1960 he became a United States Senator.
When JFK became president America wasn't coming in the best financial situation after a recession in 1958. To get out of this he proposed a tax cut. It never got the support it needed to happen though. He supported Immigration but thought there should be a limit per year. In 1961 there was a plan to stop segregating buses.In June of 1963 they ended segregation at the university of Alabama. In 1961 he attempted to end Fidel Castro´s rain of terror over Cuba. In 1962 Soviet Russia put nuclear missiles in Cuba. This is one of the closest times we've gotten to nuclear war. But he negotiated with Kremlin's to take out the missiles.
