different lightnings set different tones and atmospheres for example if there is a lot of bright lighting it gives the feel of a happy and safe environment so should be good for a comedy. where as if there is not much lighting and its very dark it gives the feel of a place being unsafe and dangerous. this is why this type of lighting is used in horror films.

lighting can also be used to highlight and bring the audiences attention to a certain feature.

An example of this is a horror movie opening. The target audience would be expecting dark images the audience will also be expecting to see a lot of jump cuts and de-straturated lighting

there are many different types of sound that can be used in a film opening. Both diegetic and non diegetic sound can both be used however non diegetic sound is most commonly used for example sound tracks can be played in the back to set the mood and tone of the film.

Title

The titel screen is ment to showcase the film. the title is a much more effective way to show case the film than text is as it grabs the attention of the audiance more than boring text.

titels are usally quite simple not to complicated but bold so easy to remember. It is very important that the audiance remembers the title as then the film name will be passed around through word of mouth.
