Threats To Biome

Threats

Around the world, savannas are threatened by human actions like logging, development, conversion to agriculture, over-grazing by livestock, and introduction of non-native plant species. Droughts increase the chances of wildfires and desertification. Additionally, savannas are threatened by agriculture, excessive livestock grazing, and poaching.
