Governing Bodies

Conclusion

All of the people, companies, or organizations mentioned are involved with the New York Mets in some way, some more directly than others. A shared interest between them is for the team and organization to do well. Everyone focuses on making sure the organization is running smoothly, the team is practicing and doing well in games, people are buying tickets and are supporting the team.

The active staff makes up the team players and the coaching staff is everyone involved coaching and leading the team. Ownership includes the founder, the people on the board of the organization, management, and officers. They are basically the decision makers for the team as a whole. The tv and radio stations depend on team occurrences to report on. Community partners, the community, and the Amazin’ Mets Foundation rely on the organization’s revenue in order to maintain their support. Supporters and fans give the team popularity and awareness that allows for them to continue as a successful organization. And the governing bodies give the team a platform allowing for them to grow and keep their revenue and fan base.

All of these entities rely on each other to stay afloat. For example, they all need for the team to do well but the team also relies on the owners, governing bodies, and the coaching staff for a place to practice and play. The tv and radio stations need the team for content but they also need to perform well to give the team a good reputation. Although community partners receive support from the team, if any of them presents a bad image, then that could reflect badly on the team. Meaning that they can all gain a lot if everyone performs well, or lose a lot if one falls behind.
