Is term used to describe the tendency of individuals to think and act as group.
The pros of BLM are obvious. A movement to shed light on a social injustice that's been happening right in front of since as long as anyone can remember. More people have educated them selves about the discrimination directed towards people of color and systematic racism. In return people from all backgrounds are now trying to combat it. With trying to combat it though comes a lot of violence and destruction. Protesters have often been beaten, arrested, shot at with rubber and real bullets, tear gassed, and even abducted and thrown into unmarked police cars, despite a vast majority of protest being peaceful. There's also the destruction of buildings, businesses, and public and private property. With the instigation from officers and city officials these protest can sometimes become riots
Herd behavior could effect the BLM movement based on opinions. Some people are either with the movement or against it. When people tried to come up with ALM (all lives matter) it was made to silence black voices. Yet all lives do matter but we need to focus on the issue at hand. Peoples opinions can get around quick and people will picks sides without thinking or doing research about the topic. Without any idea of what the subject is about just going off of what other people is an example of herd behavior. Herd behavior can drive people to jump to conclusions just going off what other people are doing and just grouping to together.
