Air Pollution

THE BASICS

The Basics

- Air is essential for life it self, without it we could survive only a few minutes.

- It constitutes immediate physical environment of living organisms.

- The atmosphere is layered in to four distinct which are: Troposphere, Stratosphere, Mesosphere, and Thermosphere .

What is Air pollution ?

What is Air pollution?

Air pollution is one such form that refers to the contamination of the air, irrespective of indoors or outside.

THE CAUSE

The Cause

The burning of fossil fuels

Sulfur dioxide emitted from the combustion of fossil

fuels like coal, petroleum for energy in power plants, and other factory combustibles is one the major cause of air pollution.

The burning of fossil fuels

Agricultural activities

Ammonia is a very common byproduct of agriculture- related activities and is one of the most hazardous gases in the atmosphere.

Agricultural activities

Waste in Landfills

Landfills are land areas in which waste is deposited or buried.Methane is a major greenhouse gas that is highly flammable and very hazardous.

Waste in landfills

Exhaust From Factories and

Industries

Manufacturing industries release a large amount of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, organic compounds, and chemicals into the air, thereby depleting the quality of air.

THE EFFECT

The Effect

Global warming

Is a direct consequence of the greenhouse effect, which is produced by the high emission of CO2 and methane into the atmosphere. Most of these emissions are produced by the industry, so this can be remedied by social responsibility and action by companies and factories.

Global Warming

Climate Change

When the temperature of the planet increases, there is a disturbance in the usual climatic cycles, accelerating the changes of these cycles in an evident way.

Due to climate change, the mass of the poles is melting, and this is leading to flooding and the rising of sea levels.

Climate Change

Acid Rain

Acid Rain

The gasesare very toxic. Those gases include sulphur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen oxides (NO2) issued into the atmosphere that come from fossil fuels burning. When those substances accumulate in the atmosphere and react with water, they form dilute solutions of nitric and sulphuric acid, and when those concentrations become rain, both the environment and surfaces suffer.

Respiratory health problems

Respiratory health problems

Inhalation of toxic agents directly affects the lungs and other organs that make up the respiratory system. Also, poor oxygenation can lead to cardiovascular problems.

SOLUTION

The Solution

LET'S FIX IT! 1

Let's fix it! 1

1.Try to use an engine that is less polluted modify the production process and reduce pollution from vehicles.

LET'S FIX IT!

2.Use more public transport vehicles such as buses, trains, underground trains.

Let's fix it! 2

3.Use less cars if you can walk or ask for your friend's car, they should go together.

LET'S FIX IT!

4.Help each other to support the use of agriculture technology. By using waste materials to be used for energy.

Let's fix it! 3

5.Manage grass tribe regulations or solid waste. Allowance to reduce burning in the open.

LET'S FIX IT!

6.People should help campaign and promote everyone to understand the dangers arising from air pollution

Let's fix it! 4

7.Set up the rules for the operation of industrial smoke emissions to work on a specified time.
