- Undergraduate Degree in Psychology from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio
- Master's and Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Ohio State University
- Internship at Massachusetts Mental Health Center in Boston
CAREER
Career
- Began career of teaching at State University of New York, Buffalo
- Taught 30 years in Simon Fraser University and retired in 2002
- Established University's First Clinical Psychology Center in 1986
- Worked as private clinical psychologist

Identity Diffusion- Occurs when a person does not find alternatives nor committed to one identity.
Identity Foreclosure- It is a commitment made without exploring any alternatives.
Identity Moratorium- It is stage of high exploration where commitment to one true identity is absent.
