Out of 2,200 british soldiers and officers that were fighting in the battle, 268 of them died and 828 were injured. The Americans also suffered from heavy causalities like 115 of their men died and 305 were injured in the battle. The British also took both Breed's and Bunker hill.
The British troops had been armed with muskets and bayonets. They also had light guns that were supported with heavy guns. The Americans were armed with muskets or any other firearm they could have, also a few bayonets and some light guns.

In the end the British had won the battle. Most likely two of the reasons was because the Patriots weren't as experienced as were the British and also maybe because the British had greater weapons than the Patriots did. But it gave America a confidence boost when fighting their next battle.
William Howe was the commander of the British army in North America and completed 7 military successes. Howe earned the reputation as one of the young most brilliant generals. Also Howe had won the Battle of Bunker Hill. The following year he became supreme command and moved his team southward and captured the strategic port city of New York and severely betting the Americans at the Battle of Long Island.
He was important because he went on and held very important military positions and became a full general in 1793. During his final years he later started to train other people to fight like he once did when he was much younger.
Howe served in the battles of War of the Austrian Succession, Seven Years War, Siege of Louisbourg, Siege of Havana, The American Revolutionary War, Philadelphia campaign and other battles/wars.

He had earned the reputation as one of the young most brilliant generals. Being he successful general and wining a good hand full of battles during is time. Later being known well for his fighting skills and being a determined general.

Howe was the son of Emanuel S. Howe and Baronnes Sophia von Kielmansegg. Also was the brother of 11 siblings.
He was notable for being a Britsih general durn the American Revolution. Fought in bunker Hill and became commander in cheief for the Britsh Forces in North Amrica in 1775.
