Allan Strraton is a canadian author born in stratford,Ontario.Before he was two he left with his mother to their grandparents farm to avoid his violient father(much like cameron.)
As his life went on he became quite the adventurer,Allan has safaried in Africa ,explored pyramids inEgypt,hikied the great wall of china etc.He now lives in Toronto,Canada and years ago he lived in New York. Stratton first started his career acting in a festival.Then from 1975-1977 he was a actor & a playwritter at the Vancouver Playhouse.
Summary
The dogs is about a boy named Cameron Weaver and his mom who are on the run from their abusive and violent dad/husband.
As Cameron moves with his mom to a strange new town called Wolf Hollow.As their realtor named Ken shows them a abondend barn,Their mom thinks that this will be the perfect place to hide but as always Camerons dad is always one step ahead.As days go by Cameron starts to uncover the dark past of the barn.While his mom thimks he's gone crazy telling her tales of a ghost living with them these big vicious dogs and a murder,but what happens when these crazy thoughts become real,what will Cameron do?Who does he trust?and will Cameron finally uncover the truth about the once happy family who lived on this farm find out in the dogs.

Cameron
Cameron weaver is a anti-social person who would much rather be byhimself living in his head.He is a character who misses his father because he left when he was kinda young,now all Cameron knows is to move on when suspicious things happen.As quiet and lonely he may be he is quite mischivious and sneaky for example he does not tell his mom everything,he sneaks out to places his not suppose to go.But this is more like a gift his sneakness and curiosity helps him uncover the truth about a fifthy year old murder mystery .

Camerons mom is quite worried and stressed i mean who wouldn't be worried of this violent crazy guy stalking,As i was saying on top of all that she thinks Cameron has gone crazy just like her husband,but one thing that makes her happy is when Ken bonds with Cameron.Overall i would describe her as a regular mom just trying to protect her son even though she's to soft and will do anything to save Cameron.

Mike well lets just say he seems unwell and for goodness sake guess what his hobby is oh I will give you a hint hunting for Cameron and his mom.And that's not even the creepy part he has a google alert for his name say what,and one day ring guess what happens he gets a google alert and since his personality is kinda like a stalker creep vibe he decided's to check it out and then what will happen read the book to find out.Anyways i would describe his personality as a creep/man just trying to make amends with his family in a really harsh way.By harsh I mean he might be carring a gun.
Ken(Realtor/Person who likes Camerons mom
Ken is a fun jokey type of guy who is trying to get Cameron to like him,But Cameron like his usual self does not except Ken while Ken gets pulled in the drama of their family he gets quite the treatment.Overall i would describe him as a person who's trying to add joy to their lives.
