reading and math

All students will receive reading and math instructuction in English and Spanish

Students will have 15 minutes of whole group core instruction and 20 minutes for small group.

Science and Social Studies will be integrated in the Reading lessons.

When students are not meeting with me, they will work on their ELA classwork.

Each assignment will have a due date, they will have the chance to submit their work 3 days after the due date in case they need.

Additional ELA small group meetings will occur in the afternoons as needed.

Every student will take home his/her belongings everyday

assessments

Tests will be ”mini assessments” given in smaller chunks so that students do not forget the information learned.

This is important since students will be learning from home.

Classroom assessments will be taken at home, parents will be notified via Remind.

State assessments will be taken at school. (More information will be provided at a later date).

Students will have NC Check-in resources to practice in Showbie.

late work policy

Students will have the opportunity to turn in any late work.

Students will have up to 3 days after the due date to turn in their classwork.

Partial credit will be given for any late assignments.

make up work

If your child misses a Zoom lesson, the recorded lesson will be posted on Canvas.

It is your child’s responsibility to watch the missed Zoom lesson so they won’t be left behind.

What will a typical

Attendance is crucial for virtual and face to face.

Attendance will be taken when they attend school. To be counted present on virtual days students must complete virtual assignments.

If your child will not be attending a Zoom lesson, please let me know.
