Physical: When I was born I weighed 5lbs and 14oz, so I was a pretty small baby. I was actually 3 weeks premature. I began walking at 11 1/2 months. During my toddler years I mainly enjoyed playing with my dog Sasha and my brother Blake.
Social: At this stage in my life I loved to talk. I would always talk to my parents, brother, and even my pets.
Moral: During this stage I started trying to impress my family, constantly showing them things I was excited about, always talking. I was friendly to everyone and a well-mannered child
Cognitive: By the time I was 10 months old I had already said my first word. From then on, my vocabulary sky-rocketed and I was able to tell my parents exactly what I wanted by a year old. Not only was I able to say what I wanted, but I was also the spokesperson for my brother. I was reading words at 16 months and full books at 3.
Physical: I was never a tall girl, I grew until I was 5'2. During this time I started playing softball which helped define my motor skills. Towards the end of this stage my body started changing drastically. Hormones started to go crazy.
Social: I always enjoyed the company of others, but at this point I only wanted to be around two or three friends. I began to show my shyness and my anxiety when encountering new people. Because of this, I never showed outstanding leadership skills. I realized at this age that I liked being in small groups.
Cognitive: My vocabulary continued to grow at a fast rate. I was a very curious child and asked questions about EVERYTHING. I absolutely loved to read and started reading novels at age 10.
Moral: During this age, I was entering the postconventional stage. I was still well mannered and pleasant, but I started discovering who I was, I was starting to discover my identity and forming individual thoughts and opinions.
Physical: Over the past few years I have remained 5'2 and developed a curvy figure.
Social: I am finishing up with stage 5 of Erikson's theory, which is one of the most important stages for success in life. I am determining who I am as a person and I am also figuring out what I want from life. During this stage I broke out of my shyness shell and I am more outgoing. I am freindly to everyone but I still keep a close group of 4-5 people.
Cognitive: I am a logical person, I think about my actions and how they will affect my future. I am a hypothetical reasoning person, I am always thinking about the "what-ifs," and many solutions to problems I am facing. Frequently I tend to "overthink."
Moral: I believe to be in the principled substage of the postconventional stage. I have strong beliefs that I do not let others opinion change. I stick by what I believe in and do not stray away from it. I make my own decisions and do not let others make them for me.
As life goes on, there are more stops we have to make. We have more developing to do and more exploring of ourselves. We have to live life to fullest and continue to learn important lessons and dream daring dreams. One day we will reach our peak.
