God Hates Sin
Sin is absolutely counter to who God is. It is an attack against Him, a tresspass, an insult, a rejection, a missing of the mark. Sin destroys the WHOLE LIFE that God created in us... He hates whatever destroys what He has made.
For you are not a God who is pleased with wickedness;

PUNISHMENT
God is fully in the right to punish sin. If punishment wouldn't have happened, He would have had to go back on his Word and compromise... and corrupt who He is.
