RECYCLO

A Plastic Waste Management System

Impact of

the Project

Impact of the project

Economic impact

The project can contribute to the development of a local recycling industry, creating economic benefits and potentially reducing costs associated with waste management.

Environmental impact:

The project can significantly reduce the amount of plastic waste sent to landfills or incinerators, reducing environmental pollution and conserving natural resources. Recycling plastic waste can also reduce greenhouse gas emissions by reducing the need for virgin plastic production and landfilling.

Social impact

The project can create social impact by promoting sustainable practices and community engagement. It can also create job opportunities in the recycling sector, supporting local economic development.

Educational impact

The project can also have an educational impact by promoting awareness and understanding of sustainable resource management practices, helping to build a culture of sustainability.

Statement

Problem Statement

Plastic waste is a growing environmental concern, with vast amounts of plastic being produced and discarded every day. This leads to environmental pollution, depletion of natural resources, and negative impacts on human health. Although recycling is a viable solution, many people are not aware of how to properly dispose of plastic waste, leading to its accumulation in landfills and oceans. Furthermore, the lack of a convenient and efficient way to recycle plastic waste discourages many people from recycling. Therefore, there is a need to develop an accessible and user-friendly platform that incentivizes people to recycle their plastic waste and promotes sustainable practices.

RecycleBank vs. Plastic Recycling Project:

Recyclebank is a company that helps people to recycle by rewarding them for their efforts. They have created a platform where individuals can sign up to participate in recycling programs that reward them with points for recycling. These points can then be redeemed for discounts and special offers. Our Plastic Recycling project offers the same features but with a vast range by keeping general people in mind. Generally, people stop using the app after 1 or 2 recycling because of the long process of taking plastics to a certain location for recycling and getting points. They Just throw it in the nearest dustbin. That's why we have invented this donor and collector system in our app. Where donors can search for collectors to recycle their waste. And nearest collector can go to the donor's house to collect the waste and take it to the manufacturer company for recycling. Collectors will get cash amounts for their help and the donor will get some e-vouchers for their plastic donation. It will make the collectors and donors work more happily and precisely.

Sustainability

Element

Emissions reduction

Plastic waste can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions by reducing the need for virgin plastic production and landfilling.

Resource conservation

By recycling plastic waste, the project helps conserve natural resources and reduces the amount of waste sent to landfills or incinerators.

Circular Economy

The project promotes the circular economy by keeping plastic waste in use and preventing it from becoming waste. This helps reduce the need for virgin plastic production and supports a more sustainable, closed-loop system.

Economic benefits

The project creates economic benefits by supporting the development of a local recycling industry and creating job opportunities in the recycling sector.

Community Engagement

The project encourages community engagement and participation in sustainable practices, helping to build awareness and support for sustainable resource management.
