I get a tutor every Tuesday. Sometimes it's fun and it helps me in class. The other day we did fractions in class and fractions with tutor this really helped.
Consistent advice and support:
Time spent with Sally Rowe planning and the reflective TRG activity have been very useful. The introduction of the RTP helped to streamline our planning and map out the rest of the year. BPS
The TRG was extremely helpful and informative. The discussion about our own experiences with teaching a concept and then being able to critically look at the small steps from different perspectives both before and after really helped to workout what the children may and did find tricky, enabling a change in thinking for the next lesson that would be planned on a concept. It also helped me on other maths lesson plans to think about the different angles we had discussed
The TRG we had last week was very helpful. It was good to spend a prolonged time focussing on a lesson with other teachers in the trust. The discussion is very useful and breaking down the learning into very small steps. It was also helpful to share ideas and tips for other colleagues which can be used in the classroom. It would be good to continue to use TRG going forward and really dig down deeper in other areas of Maths. SM
It's more discussion based so we can explain our thinking.
Children are benefiting from this and it helps them retain prior learning that may not be explicitly linked to our topic e.g number bonds being revised even though we are learning about multiplication in formal lessons. BPS
It helps you, it shows you can use facts to do calculations.
We might revisit a question we have done before or recap something we have recently learnt to make sure we are ok with it
KS1 - GD pupils
Year 3 - impact of missed key yr 2 content (SM 6 EHCPs and 50% SEND/PP)
Year 5 - cohorts across the trust. High SEN/PP
Each school noticed that for classes with high numbers of keyworkers, results are better eg SM Yr 4 and BPS Yr3
