Natural Selection: Why it's important

Animals adapting to new environments is vital to contributing to biodiversity because as animals adapt they create new and more species

Topic 3

Philosophy

Charles Darwin and Alfred Russel Wallace are the men that thought up of natural selection. They found several species of finch adapted to different environmental inches

How it works

Over time as climates change animal traits that are useful to the changing environment are passed down to offspring so that the species has a greater chance of survival. After a while this becomes its own new species of that type of animal.
