-"Blu" is a Italian, contemporary street artist who conceals his real identity.
-He was born in Senigallia Italy and now lives in Bologna Italy.
-He as been active in street art since 1999
Blu's style
-Like most street artist, Blu began painting graffiti with spray paint. in the 2000s, Blu's graffiti style changed thanks to his growing use of of house paint. He started to experiment with paint rollers and telescopic sticks.
-His graffiti art wasnt just much larger it also conveyed a much more dramatic appearance. His art resembled comic and video game art.
The Distruction of 20 years of paintings
March 14, 2016-Italian street artist Blu spent that weekend systematically destroying every artwork he had painted over the past 20 years. He covered all his murals in gray paint in protest of the exhibition at Palazzo Pepoli.
-The murals scheduled for exhibition were removed from the streets with the intention of "salvaging them from demolition and preserving them from the injuries of time," according to the press release
