Why it Could Have Been a Stroke.

Why Stroke?

It could have been a stroke because on Anna's Autopsy Reports it says there was noticeable face drooping on the left side of her face and the fact that she had unhealthy eating habits. She could have fallen and hit her head after she had a stroke.

Why it Could Have Been an Enlarged Spleen/ Spleen Failure.

Why Spleen Failure/ Enlarged Spleen?

Anna could have died from an enlarged spleen because on her Autopsy Report it said the abdominal cavity was filled with blood, which can both be caused by sickle cell causing blood to be trapped inside her spleen. It also said that her abdominal area felt hard and was swollen. Along with the fact that her white blood cell count was elevated.

Why it Could Have Been a Diabetic Coma.

Why Diabetic Coma?

Anna could have died from a diabetic coma because on her Autopsy Report it said she had high levels of blood ketones, also known as diabetic ketoacidosis. Her BGL was 280, which is like twice the normal range. Her blood acidic lvel was low and she hadn't taken her last dose of insulin. Which she needed since she was a Type 1 Diabetic.

How Did She Really Die?

We believe that Anna Garcia died mainly from a Diabetic Coma in the end.

How Do We Know?

We think this because first, she had Type 1 Diabetes which puts her at risk for diabetic comas. She was also thirsty because of a UTI so she drank orange juice which raised her blood sugar but it was too late to take any insulin to balance it out. She also had ketones in her urine, along with high levels of blood ketones in general. And lastly the fact that her BGL was so high also makes us believe that she in fact died from a Diabetic Coma.
